Docking of a group of ships of north Russian fleet at the Algiers’ port
     Within the framework of embodying the Algerian-Russian military cooperation program for 2026, a group of Russian military fleet ships docked in March 11th, 2026 at the Algiers’ port for a stopover of four days. The group of ships of the north Russian fleet composed of a big anti-submarine ship «SEVEROMORSK» and a medium-sized oil tanker «KAMA».

  

     During this stopover, the chief of the mission and his accompanied delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr the Brigadier-General Central Maritime Façade Commander, at Algiers’ Naval Base/1stMR where the two parties discussed the means of promoting bilateral cooperation between the Algerian and Russian marines.
     In this regard, mutual visits will be organized between the Algerian Naval Forces high officials and the Russian detachment crew, this will allow knowledge and expertise exchange in the naval field. The stopover will include the organization of cultural and sports activities for the Russian fleet crewmembers.

  

     This visit is an opportunity for exchanging expertise and enhancing cooperation between the two countries marines.
