Within the framework of embodying of the bilateral military cooperation activites with Tunisia for 2025, Mr. the Major General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander supervised in December 11^th, 2025 the inspection ceremony of the Missiles Launcher Corvette « Rais Hassan Barbiar » n°807 in Algiers’ Naval Base/1^stMR, after participating in the joint naval exercise “El Mourjan 2025”. The exercise was organized by the Algerian Naval Forces in partnership with the Tunisian Navy from December 02^nd to 08^th, 2025 in the maritime zone north of Tunisia.



     The exercise included the execution of joint tactical maneuvers involving maritime interdiction operations, search and rescue drills, as well as training in combating illicit activities at sea. This exercise aims to strengthen bilateral coordination, enhance operational readiness, and assess the level of integration and interoperability between the Algerian and Tunisian Naval Forces. The Algerian Naval Forces participated in the exercise with the Missile Corvette “Raïs Hassan Barbier” along with a Detachment of Naval Commandos from the Special Actions Regiment.



     This activity reflects the strength of bilateral cooperation with regional partners, contributing to the enhancement of maritime security and safety for both countries.
