As part of the implementation of the Algerian–Russian bilateral military cooperation program for the year 2025, a detachment of the Russian Naval Fleet docked today, 18^th December 2025, at the Port of Algiers for a four-day port call. The Russian naval detachment is composed of the submarine "Krasnodar" and the maritime rescue tug "Altay".
     During this port call, the Head of the Mission, accompanied by his delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Brigadier General, Commander of the Central Maritime Façade/1^st Military Region, at the headquarters of the Algiers Naval Base/1^st Military Region. Discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and promote the sharing of expertise between the Algerian and Russian navies.



     In this context, reciprocal visits will be organized between officers of the Algerian Naval Forces and the crew of the Russian detachment, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experience in the maritime field. The program of this port call also includes the organization of cultural and sports activities for the benefit of the Russian detachment’s crew.
     This visit represents an opportunity to exchange expertise and consolidate cooperation between the navies of the two countries
