Docking of a Russian military fleet Detachment at Oran port
Within the framework of embodying the Algerian –Russian military cooperation for 2025-2026, a Russian military fleet Detachment docked in March 24th, 2026, composed of “KRASNODAR” submarine and the naval rescue tugboat “ALTAY” at Oran port in a stopover of 4 days.
During this stopover, the mission chief and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. the Commander of Western Maritime Façade/2ndMR where the two parties discussed the means of promoting bilateral cooperation and strengthening expertise exchange between the Algerian and the Russian marines. Cultural and touristic activities will also be organized for the Russian delegation crewmembers.
This visit was an opportunity to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ marine.
