The Naval Forces Commander supervises the inspection ceremony of the Missiles Launcher Corvette « Rais Hassan Barbiar » N°807
Within the framework of embodying of the bilateral military cooperation activites with Tunisia for 2025, Mr. the Major General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander supervised in november 27th, 2025 the inspection ceremony of the Missiles Launcher Corvette « Rais Hassan Barbiar » n°807 in Algiers’ Naval Base/1stMR before heading to take part in the joint naval exercise « MORJANE 2025 » organized by the Algerian Naval Forces in partnership with the Tunisian Sea Army during the period of December 2nd to 08th, 2025 in the maritime zone north of Tunisia.
This exercise aims to enhancing joint operational cooperation in the fields of maritime surveillance and security, maritime borders surveillance and bilateral coordination support in fighting illicit acts at sea and development of personnel and units capacities throughout the implementation of tactical manouvers on operations of maritime prohibition and search and rescue exercises. This exercise is an opportunity of expertise exchange and coordination of joint efforts in fighting non-conventional threats at sea.
Throughout this activity, the Naval Forces confirm their constant vigilance in consolidating bilateral cooperation with territorial partners and units’ operational capacities development in enhancing safety and security in the two countries maritime field.
