The National Gendarmerie sets up a special security plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

     In anticipation of the 2020-2021 school year, and in order to accompany it and contribute to its success in coordination with the authorities concerned, the National Gendarmerie Command has set up a special safety and prevention plan for this purpose, in which the personnel of the National Gendarmerie will be deployed within fixed and mobile formations consisting of patrols and checkpoints with a mission of guaranteeing safety and managing the road flow at the level of the axes leading to schools.
    The purpose of these measures taken at the national level is to guarantee security around all schools through the intensification of control patrols in the vicinity of schools and the paths that lead to them, especially during hours of entry and exit of classes to facilitate road traffic, preserve the safety of students and observe the application of preventive measures aimed at limiting the spread of the new Corona virus pandemic.

     The National Gendarmerie plan set up on this occasion is based on outreach work and the promotion of public service. Thus, a series of procedures have been undertaken on the field to combat trafficking of pyrotechnic products in order to protect public health. Mobile patrols have also been stepped up to ensure a quick and efficient response when needed.

     In this context, the National Gendarmerie services remain always available and ready to keep security on an ongoing basis and to intervene to preserve public tranquility. the territorial brigades, road safety units and minors protection brigades in coordination with the competent authorities, start a communication and awareness program for the benefit of students and their parents to raise their awareness on the need to respect preventive measures in order to limit the spread of the Corona virus, prevent road accidents and social ills in schools.
    The National Gendarmerie puts at the service of citizens, a toll-free number (1055) to be able to ask for assistance or intervention in case of need, as well as the “Tariki” website or its Facebook page to inquire about the state of the roads, in addition to the website for pre-complaints and remote information « ».
