Brigadier General, Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, presided over the graduation ceremony of the sixty-sixth (66
th) class of Judicial Police Agents on June 18
th, 2026, at the National Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officers School of Sidi Bel Abbes. Following an inspection of the formations assembled on the parade ground, the Commandant of the School delivered an address highlighting the main components of the training program and the military and professional knowledge acquired by the graduates throughout their training. He emphasized that these competencies strengthen operational readiness and reinforce professionalism in the performance of their duties. He also reviewed the various specialties conducted by the school during the 2025/2026 academic year, namely:
Second-Level Professional Military Qualification – Territorial;
First-Level Professional Military Qualification – Territorial;
Accelerated training for obtaining the military motorcycle driving licence, category (A1-A);
Second-Level Professional Military Certificate – Territorial, second year;
Second-Level Professional Military Certificate, second year, Crime Scene Technician specialty;
Driver training for obtaining light and heavy military driving licences, categories (A, B).
The graduating class completed a two-year specialized military and professional training program, culminating in the administration of the legal oath on June 13
th, 2026. This qualification grants the graduates the status of Judicial Police Agents and enables them to join the various units of the National Gendarmerie, where they will perform their operational duties with competence and professionalism. The ceremony also included the conferment of ranks and the presentation of certificates to the outstanding graduates.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Brigadier General honored the family of the late moudjahid “Ammi Brahim,” known as “Mdjahid,” in recognition of his immense sacrifices for Algeria’s independence and the preservation of its sovereignty, and as a reflection of the values of loyalty and gratitude that the National Gendarmerie strives to uphold. He also signed the School’s Golden Register, expressing his pride in the high standard demonstrated by the graduates and his appreciation for the efforts devoted to training and education.
