Swearing-in by officers related to different structures of the National Gendarmerie.
In the presence of officials from the National Gendarmerie and the justice, the swearing-in ceremony by 186 officers of the National Gendarmerie took place on this day of June 19th, 2021 at the seat of the Court in Algiers.
The officers who were sworn in at a plenary session in accordance with article 20 of the decree n° 108/73 dated June 6th, 1973, completed the necessary legal procedures and also acquired the quality of " judicial police officers ” which makes them officers of the court working under its direction and control in accordance with article 12 of the Penal Procedures code. Then, they will be directed to their working positions to consolidate the ranks of the National Gendarmerie Units throughout the national territory.
The swearing-in constitutes an act of official recognition of the officers of the National Gendarmerie, which allows them to exercise their missions and their prerogatives as judicial police officers, in accordance with the provisions of article 15 of the Penal Procedures code. It also represents a commitment made by the officer of the National Gendarmerie to be faithful to the principles of the glorious revolution of the 1st November, to perpetuate the pact of our brave martyrs, to respect the laws and regulations, to keep professional secrecy, to protect the country and to ensure the preservation of the supreme interests of the nation whatever the conditions. Thus, the swearing in constitutes a pact, a commitment, an honor and the basis on which rests the ethics of the National Gendarmerie personnel.
