As part of the annual program of national and international military sports activities for the sports season 2025/2026, approved by Mister The General, Minister Delegate to The Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of People’s National Army, and in conjuction with the Arab Military Sports Day of the Arab Union, the Republican Guard Command organized during the period from March 29^th to April 4^th 2026, the national military equestrian sports championship, in the equestrian grounds of the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment « Martyr YAHOUNI Bachir » of the Republican Guard Command, the national military equestrian sports championship.

      The opening ceremony of this championship, was presided over on April 2^nd 2026, by Mister the Major-General, Commander of the Republican Guard, in the presence of the Republican Guard Command’s executives, who emphasized in his speech that: “... equestrian sports it’s not just a competition but rather an ancient cultural heritage linked to our history, it is a symbole of courage, nobility and discipline. Today through this championschip, we revive this heritage bringing together elite riders and horses in an atmosphere of fair competition and true sportsmanship ...”

      The championship saw the participation of (68) riders (male and female), spread over 11 teams reporting to Force Commands, Military Regions, Directorates and Higher Schools of People’s National Army.

      This championship was marked by the organization of competitions in three (03) disciplines, namely; show jumping, dressage, and endurance. The stages took place in excellent conditions, thanks to the human and materiel resources provided all in place by the Republican Guard Command.

       The results are as follows:

Show jumping discipline:

Category “A” high 1.20m

• - 1^st place, Staff Sergeant BOUTERFA Kamel from the R.G.C ;
• - 2^nd place, Master Sergeant ZAYER Sami from the R.G.C;
• - 3^rd place, Staff Sergeant KANOUNE Noureddine from the R.G.C.

Category “B” high 1.00m

• - 1^st place, A C P MEKKAOUI Noureddine from the General Directorate of Army Security;
• - 2^nd place, Sergeant First Class DRIBINE Abdelkarim from the R.G.C;
• - 3^rd place, GHERBI Hadj Ahmed from the 2^nd MR Command.

Category « C » high 80-90cm

• - 1^st place, Staff Sergeant LIBEDRI Abdennour from the R.G.C;
• - 2^nd place, Staff Sergeant BEN MERIEM Nacer from the N.G.C;
• - 3^rd place, BELHOUARI Adel from the Military Academy of Cherchell / 1^st MR.

Category “D” high 60-70cm

• - 1^st place, Career Officer Cadet BAZINE Sami from the A.F.C;
• - 2^nd place, Career Officer FEZZAZ Nassim from the Military Academy of Cherchell/ 1^st MR;
• - 3^rd place, HENNACHI abdessamed from the 2^nd MR Command.

• - 2^nd place, Sergeant First Class HACHEMI ABDELKADER from the Military Academy of Cherchell/ 1^st MR;
• - 3^rd place, Second Lieutenant REHAL Malika from the Higher School of Transmission/ 1^st MR.

Category “C” Rider's Course

• - 1^st place, Lieutenant BBOUDOURA Chaima from the 1^st MR Command;
• - 2^nd place, TIFAS Nourehane from the Military Academy of Cherchell/ 1^stMR;
• - 3^rd place, BENALI Hadjira from the 2^nd MR Command.

Category “D” Beginner Rider's course

• - 2^nd place, Master Sergeant MESSAOUDI Mohamed Rabeh from the T.A.D.F.C;
• - 3^rd place, Lieutenant FENNI Ines from the N.F.C.

Endurance discipline, distance 10 km :

• - 1^st place, Lieutenant BLIDI BOUKAMEL Wafa from the A.F.C;
• - 2^nd place, Captain KACEM Ryad from the N.G.C;
• - 3^rd place, Staff Sergeant BENATHMANE Adel from the 1^st MR Command.

Endurance discipline, distance 20 km :

• - 1^st place, Staff Sergeant EL AMRI Hechani from the R.G.C;
• - 2^nd place, A C P KENDOUL El Aid from the A.F.C;
• - 3^rd place, Staff Sergeant DJELLOULI Mohamed from the 2^nd MR Command.

Ranking by teams:

• - 1^st place, The Republican Guard Command;
• - 2^nd place, The Air Forces Command;
• - 3^rd place, The 2^nd Military Region Command and The General Directorate of Army Security.

       At the end of the Championship, Mister the Major-General, Chief of Staff of the Republican Guard Command, honored the first place winners with medals and gifts, he also presented certificates of honor to the presidents of the participating delegations, in a good atmosphere.
