Within the framework of the activities commemorating the (60th) sixtieth anniversary of Independence, the Directorate of Information and Communication/General Staff of the People’s National Army, organized, during the period from 23rd to 30th, June 2022, at the Central Army Museum, open doors on the different Force Commands, the National Gendarmerie and the Republican Guard Command.
This media event was opened on Thursday, June 23rd, 2022, by Colonel, Director of the Central Museum of Army/1st Military Region, with the presence of the representatives of the Force Commands, the National Gendarmerie and the Republican Guard Command, as well as Moudjahidine and Doctors specialized in Algerian history.
However, June 30th, 2022, was chosen as an open day on the Republican Guard Command weapon. During this day, several activities were carried out, namely; the projection of a documentary film on the activities and missions of the Republican Guard, the setting of a photography exhibition, the organization of a workshop exposing the winter, summer parades and special intervention outfits, in addition to the music and cavalry workshops and the posters advertising the history of the Republican Guard as well as the conditions for accessing it.
This activity was marked by the participation of the bagpipe band of the 1st Parade Regiment of the Republican Guard Command in the opening and the closing ceremonies, by the interpretation of musical scores, what brought joy to the visitors.
It should be noted that this event has known a notable influence on the public and has been widely appreciated, especially for the fact that it has concretized the Army-Nation link.
These open doors were closed on June 30th, 2022, by the Colonel, Director of the Central Museum of Army/1st Military Region, which gave the representatives of the Republican Guard a certificate of appreciation and recognition and the logo of the 60st anniversary of independence.
