Operational report of PNA from 12th to 17th August 2021
Within the framework of the noble missions of defence and security of the national territory against all forms of threats, detachments and units of People's National Army carried out, from 12th to 17th August 2021, numerous operations which testify the infallible commitment of our Armed Forces to preserve peace and security in our country:
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within the dynamics of the intense efforts to thwart the drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army have arrested, in coordination with the various security services at the territories of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (09) drug traffickers and seized (280) kilograms of treated kif that the criminal gangs tried to introduce across the borders with Morocco, while (21) other drug traffickers were arrested and (32) kilograms of the same substance as well as (38770) psychotropic tablets were seized, in various operations carried out across the Military Regions.
In another context, detachments of PNA intercepted, in Tamanrasset, In Guezzam, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, (99) individuals and seized (18) vehicles, (121) generators, (83) jackhammers, (75) tonnes of stones and raw gold mixture, as well as quantities of explosives, detonation tools and other equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (6254) units of various drinks were seized in Biskra. Likewise, smuggle attempts quantities of fuel amounting to (9909) litres were foiled in Tébessa, El-Tarf and Souk Ahras.
In addition, the Coast Guards thwarted illegal emigration attempts on the national coasts of (473) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (42) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were apprehended in Adrar, Tlemcen and Djanet.
