Within the dynamic of the continuous efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period 24th to 30th November 2021, several operations crowned with high quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (06) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.

      In the context of the operations to fight organized crime and within the dynamics of the intense efforts to thwart drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army have arrested, in coordination with the various security services in the country at the territories of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (11) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce quantities of drugs via the borders with Morocco, amounting to (03) quintals and (33) kilograms of treated kif, while (28) other drug traffickers were arrested in their possession (62) kilograms of the same substance and (203740) psychotropic tablets seized in various operations carried out across other Military Regions.




      In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, In Guezzam, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, (55) individuals and seized (10) vehicles, (70) generators, (41) jackhammers, quantities of explosives, detonation tools and other equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (05) other individuals were arrested, (05) hunting rifles, (04) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and (18250) packets of tobacco were seized in Ghardaïa, Djelfa and In Guezzam.

      In another context, the border guards thwarted smuggle attempts of quantities of fuel amounting to (11804) litres in Tébessa, El-Tarf and Souk Ahras, while (63) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were apprehended in Tlemcen, Djanet, El-Oued, Béchar and Tebessa.
