3rd day of the official visit of Lieutenant General CHANEGRIHA Saïd, Chief of Staff of PNA to the Arab Republic of Egypt

      On the third day of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, was received in audience by the General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki Mohamed, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defence and Military Production of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, expressed his deep gratitude to his host for the invitation he extended to Algeria to take part in the activities of the 2nd edition of the Defence Exhibition held in Cairo.


      The Lieutenant General highlighted the secular and the excellent relations between the two brotherly countries, which date back in particular to the time of the Glorious Revolution of 1st November 1954 when the Egyptian brothers ensured, command and people, the necessary support for the Algerian Revolution. The Lieutenant-General also underlined that Algeria is committed to work together, to establish peace and security on the African continent in general, and in North Africa in particular. At the end of the meeting, the Lieutenant-General gave his host an important military document relating to the participation of the People's National Army represented by the 8th Armoured Brigade in the war of October 1973.

      Subsequently, and accompanied by his delegation, the Lieutenant General continued his visit to the stands of the Defence Exhibition "EDEX -2021" where he visited the stand of the Russian Federation and inquired nearly about the various weapon systems and new military technologies on display. The Lieutenant General also visited the United Arab Emirates stand where he received exhaustive explanations presented by representatives of the production companies.

  

      Then, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, accompanied by his delegation, went to the Higher Military Academy Nasser, where he was welcomed by the Commander of the Academy.

      After the welcoming ceremony, the Lieutenant General followed a presentation on the history and the missions of the Academy, drawing up a general idea on the nature of the missions assigned to this important training facility, in particular in terms of developing the skills of senior officers of the Armed Forces, and their ability to occupy senior positions within operational and strategic commands. At the end, the Lieutenant General signed the Academy's Golden Book.

  

      Afterward, the Lieutenant General, accompanied by the Algerian military delegation, went to the War School, where he was greeted by the School Commander.

      After the welcoming ceremony, the Lieutenant General followed an exhaustive presentation on the School, covering the provided specialties as well as the didactic methodology employed, in addition to the military training which crowns this assured course by this important school which judiciously combines human and material resources and adequate teaching.

  

      At the end, Lieutenant General signed the School's golden book.
