On the occasion of the celebration of the 67th anniversary of the 1st November 1954 Glorious Revolution outbreak, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence chaired, the evening of Monday 01st November 2021, at the Army’s National Circle of Beni Messous, a reception in honour of senior executives of the People’s National Army, active and retired, and senior state officials.
The President of the Republic was greeted at the entrance to the Army’s National Circle by the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.
The ceremony, which is part of the great traditions of the People's National Army aiming to highlight the key dates of our glorious history and in homage to our valiant martyrs, was attended by the President of the Council of Nation, the President of the People's National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance and members of the Government, as well as the General Benali BENALI, Commander of the Republican Guard, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commanders of Forces, the Commander of the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the Chiefs of Departments, the Directors and Chiefs of Central Services of the Ministry of National Defence and of the General Staff of People's National Army, alongside senior state officials, national figures and the Mujahedins.
On this occasion, the audience listened to the National Anthem performed by a musical troupe of the Republican Guard and followed a documentary film entitled: “Infamy of France in Algeria... Crimes against humanity”, produced by the Directorate of Communication, Information and Orientation/EM-ANP, before enjoying a photographic exhibition retracing the different stages of our Glorious Revolution, from its outbreak to independence.
The ceremony ended with magnificent fireworks marking the event.
