Operational report of PNA from 27th October to 2nd November 2021
Within the framework of the noble missions of defence and security of the national territory against all forms of threats, detachments and units of People's National Army carried out, from 27th October to 2nd November 2021, several operations which testify the infallible commitment of our Armed Forces to preserve peace and security in our country:
In the field of the fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army apprehended (04) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory, while (05) homemade bombs were discovered and destroyed in Skikda and Tebessa, as well as one (01) casemate for terrorist groups in Chlef.
In the context of the operations to fight against organized crime and within the dynamics of the intense efforts to thwart drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army have arrested, in coordination with the various security services at the level of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (09) drug traffickers and have defeated attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs via the borders with Morocco, amounting to (16) quintals and (66) kilograms of treated kif, while (35) other drug traffickers were arrested in possession of (100,631) psychotropic tablets seized in various operations carried out across the other Military Regions.
In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, In Guezzam, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, (194) individuals and seized (21) vehicles, (178) generators, (112) jackhammers, (06) metal detectors, quantities of explosives, detonation tools and other equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, as well as (3.5) tonnes of foodstuffs intended for smuggling, while (16 ) other individuals were arrested, (14) hunting rifles and (22,737) units of different drinks were seized in Ghardaia, Laghouat, Biskra, Tizi-Ouzou, Tebessa, Mascara, Boumerdes and Tissemsilt. Likewise, smuggle attempts of quantities of fuel amounting to (8,205) litres were foiled in Tebessa, El-Tarf, Souk Ahras and Bordj Badji Mokhtar.
In another context, Coast Guard thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (118) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (143) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested in El-Tarf, Tamanrasset, Tlemcen, Djanet, Bechar and El-Oued.
