Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the PNA, presides over the official installation ceremony of the new Director of Communication, Information and Orientation of the PNA General Staff
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Lieutenant General Said CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, presided, this Thursday, September 09th, 2021, at the Military College of Information and Communication - 1st Military Region, over the official installation ceremony of Major General SABA Mabrouk within the position of Director of Communication, Information and Orientation of the General Staff of the People’s National Army, as a replacement to Major General MADDI Boualem.
After the welcoming ceremony and in the presence of the 1st Military Region’s Commander and the Chiefs of Departments of the PNA, the Lieutenant General held a meeting with the executives of the Directorate in the conference room where he delivered a speech through which he stressed on the fact that this appointment is a part of the approach of the High Command of the People’s National Army, aiming at applying a rotation within the various positions , functions and levels, by making a commendable and consecrated tradition out of it, which impels a new dynamic within the ranks:
«On behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and in accordance with the presidential decree of September 07th, 2021, I officially install Major General SABA Mabrouk within the position of Director of Communication, Information and Orientation of the People’s National Army’s General Staff, as a replacement to Major General MADDI Boualem.
This appointment is a part of the approach of the High Command of the PNA, mainly aiming at making from this rotation of positions and functions at various levels, a commendable and established tradition, that impels a new dynamic within the ranks and meets the ambitions and hopes of the staff to ensure that the dedicated work, integrity, loyalty, competence and patriotism, are the only and unique criteria to access higher positions and functions, especially within this sensitive Directorate, in view of the important and vital character that the field of information and communication has reached today».
The Lieutenant General added that the High Command, fully aware of the imperative need to meet the new challenges, is working on the implementation of an efficient information and communication strategy, inspired by the values of our Glorious Liberation Revolution and guided by our national historical heritage, full of glories and exploits:
«Within the People’s National Army, we are fully aware of the imperative to take up these real challenges, and we work with the support and the orientations of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of the National Defence, to the implementation of an efficient information and communication strategy, inspired by the values of our Glorious Liberation Revolution and guided by our national historical heritage, full of glories and exploits, a strategy adapted to the components of our national identity and our own specificities, capable of contributing to the structure of an efficient national defence apparatus, where information and communication hold a pivotal role».
At the end of his speech, the Lieutenant General gave guidelines and instructions to the executives of the Directorate on the need for the multiplication and coordination of efforts, to face all hostile propaganda campaigns, whatever their nature and origin, through the implementation of an instant and credible communication that exposes the truth and maintains constructive relations with the media. Thus, the People’s National Army, worthy heir of the National Liberation Army, will remain the symbol of victories, availability and permanent readiness to defend the supreme interests of the Nation.
By the end of the event, the Lieutenant General signed the minutes of the transfer of power and the guestbook of the Military College of Information and Communication.
