Operational Report of PNA from 10th to the 16th December 2025
In the dynamic of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army executed, during the period from 10th to the 16th December 2025, several operations leading to quality results which reflect the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested ten (10) individuals providing support to terrorist groups in various operations across the country.
As part of the fight against organized crime and continuing efforts to combat the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services, intercepted 38 drug traffickers during operations conducted across the Military Regions. They also thwarted attempts to smuggle 492 kilograms of processed cannabis from the borders with Morocco, while 1,016,772 psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 306 individuals and seized 53 vehicles, 336 generators, 173 jackhammers, 3 metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stones, and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. In separate operations, 13 other individuals were apprehended, and 2 Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, 1 automatic pistol, 9 hunting rifles, 62,245 liters of fuel, 48 quintals of tobacco, and 19 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted attempts at illegal emigration along the national coast and rescued 246 individuals aboard makeshift boats, while 313 undocumented immigrants of various nationalities were apprehended across the country.
