Major General SOUID Mohammed Al-Bachir, Director of Military Health Services at the Ministry of National Defence, presided on Monday, 15
th December 2025, at the Army’s Garrison Circle in Ain Naadja over the opening ceremony of the 7
th conference of the Army Blood Transfusion Centre, the ceremony was attended by general officers, directors of health units, and specialist physicians, both civilian and military, from various hospitals.
In his opening address, the Major General, Director of Military Health Services, emphasized that this scientific meeting demonstrates the particular interest that the High Command of People's National Army places in our healthcare system. He added that this commitment is reflected in the continuous improvement of medical services offered to our personnel, such as the Army Blood Transfusion Centre, which represent a key component guaranteeing the health security of our Armed Forces personnel, both in the workplace and in the field, including in emergency situations.
The 7
th annual meeting of the Army Blood Transfusion Centre included conferences and presentations on hemovigilance, blood product quality control, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cell therapy, as well as the issue of red blood cell polymorphism in immunohematology and the complex scientific challenges it presents.
This medical day provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between different national skills, as well as to enrich knowledge related to blood transfusion and its various medical specialties in order to guarantee the best medical care for personnel of People's National Army.
