Algeria is hosting today, 27
th November 2025, at the Army’s National Circle in Béni Messous, the 13
th meeting of the Defence Ministers' Council and the 14th meeting of the Committee of the armies Chiefs of Staff of the North African Capacity member countries (NARC), namely Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The meetings was attended by Major General Mohamed Salah BENBICHA, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, as representative of the Minister of National Defence, and Major General Belkacem HASSNAT, Chief of the Employment-Preparation Department of the General Staff of People’s National Army, as representative of the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, representatives of the Ministers of Defence and Chiefs of Staff of the member countries of the NARC, as well as Mr. Ahmed Ahmida El-TAJOURI, Executive Secretary of the NARC, and General Mohamed Ghoma ALSHIBANI, Chief of the Planning Element of this regional mechanism.


The agenda for these meetings focused on evaluating the NARC's activities for 2025, as well as examining the means and mechanisms for developing its components, with a view to strengthening coordination among member countries in the face of threats to the region's security and stability.
The works concluded with the signing of the final report of the 13
th meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers and the 14
th meeting of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the North African Regional Capacity member countries (NARC).
