Operational Report of PNA from 4th to the 10th January 2026
Within the dynamic of the sustained efforts to combat terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army conducted several operations between 4th and 10th February 2026, achieving significant results that reflect the high level of professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested ten (10) individuals providing support to terrorist groups in various operations across the country.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and continuing efforts to combat drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with various security services, intercepted 26 drug traffickers during operations carried out across the Military Regions and thwarted smuggle attempts of 1098 kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while 2,284,797 psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 259 individuals and seized 32 vehicles, 188 generators, 111 jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stones, and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. In separate operations, 11 other individuals were apprehended, and (01) FMPK-type assault rifle, (02) Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, (01) automatic pistol, (09) hunting rifles, and 24,500 litres of fuel intended for smuggling were seized.
Furthermore, 227 illegal immigrants from various nationalities were arrested throughout the country.
