3rd Day of the Official Visit of General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army to Qatar
On the third day of his official visit to the brotherly state of Qatar, to participate in the 9th Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference "DIMDEX-2026", General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, continued today 20th January 2026, his tour of the various stands at the world's fair, which this year sees a large number of exhibitors. During his visit, the General inquired closely about the most modern military products in the field of naval defence industries. He received detailed and precise explanations on the exhibited materials and equipment, as well as on the latest advancements made by industrial companies in the field of maritime technologies.
During this visit, the General and his delegation were briefed on the latest solutions in the areas of unmanned aircraft systems, command and control systems, cyber-security, weapons, and armoured vehicles.
This visit also provided an opportunity to hold discussions with officials and representatives of international companies, focusing on experiences exchange and partnership opportunities exploration, particularly in the areas of industrialization, maintenance, and technology transfer, aimed at enhancing operational readiness and modernizing equipment in accordance with international standards.
At the Qatari Ministry of Defence headquarters in Doha, the General, Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, was received by His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulhamid Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs of the State of Qatar, with whom he held a private meeting.
Subsequently, from the esplanade of the Ministry of Defence headquarters, the General received briefings on the main monuments of the Qatari capital, Doha. Both sides welcomed the high level of military cooperation between the two brotherly countries, which reflects the high degree of understanding and trust that characterizes relations between Algeria and Qatar in manyways.
