Third day of the official visit of General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army to the Sultanate of Oman

      On the third day of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, was received on 2nd June 2026, by His Excellency General Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, in the presence of Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al-Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces.

  

      During this cordial meeting, General Said CHANEGRIHA expressed his sincere gratitude to his host for the warm welcome and hospitality he received. He then held discussions on military cooperation field between the two countries' armed forces, which have seen significant growth thanks to the close attention and constant monitoring by the leaders of both nations and their shared commitment to further developing these fields and bringing them to the expected level.

  

      The General and his delegation, then, visited the Maritime Security Centre at Al-Murtafa’a Camp in the Muscat Governorate, where he was received by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al-Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces, and Rear Admiral Adel bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Director of the Maritime Security Centre.

      During this visit, the General received a detailed briefing on the Centre’s missions and its strategic role in conducting and coordinating maritime security operations in Omani waters. He also attended a presentation on the mechanisms implemented by the Centre to address various threats to maritime security, including illegal immigration, transnational organized crime, illicit trafficking, maritime piracy, and maritime terrorism. At the end of the visit, the two parties exchanged symbolic gifts.

  

      In the same context, the General visited the Medical City for Military and Security Services, where he was received by the City's President, His Excellency Engineer Adi Bin Hilal Bin Nasser Al Maawali. On this occasion, the General inquired closely about the high level of service and professionalism that characterize the various departments of this medical centre, which provides military and security personnel and their families’ comprehensive medical care based on the most modern technologies and equipment, in addition to training and professional development programs for medical staff.

  

      Following the visit, the General and the President of the Medical City for Military and Security Services exchanged symbolic gifts.
