General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, installs the new Chief of the Employment-Preparation Department of People's National General Staff
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of People's National Army Staff, officially installed Major General Hamid Fekkane as Chief of the Employment-Preparation Department of People's National Army General Staff on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, replacing Major General Belkacem Hasnat.
"In the name of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and in accordance with the presidential decree of 21st May 2026, I officially install Major General Hamid Fekkane as Chief of the Employment-Preparation Department of the General Staff of the People’s National Army, replacing Major General Belkacem HASNAT.
Furthermore, I order you to work under his authority, to follow his orders and execute his instructions, in the interest of the service, in accordance with military regulations and the laws of the Republic, and demonstrating fidelity to the sacrifices of our valiant Chouhada and to the values of our Glorious Revolution".
On this occasion, the General gave instructions and guidance to the officers of the Employment-Preparation Department of the General Staff of the People's National Army, emphasizing the importance of continuously improving and adapting existing programs to meet emerging security challenges.
"I would like to stress on this occasion that the significant progress observed on modern battlefields compels us to redouble our efforts, particularly regarding the intensification of preparation, training, and skills development, as well as improving the combat readiness of individuals and units, and optimizing the operational readiness of the People's National Army combat forces.
In this regard, it is imperative that you ensure our forces are well-prepared and trained, adopting the most appropriate methods adapted to the modern weapons systems in service, as well as to the complex challenges and issues at the regional and international levels, so that our valiant forces always retain the capacity to successfully carry out their missions, whatever the circumstances".
Following this, the General signed the official handover report.
