Launch of the 6th edition of the International Military Games in the Russian Federation

      The 6th edition of the International Military Games kicked off yesterday Sunday 23rd August 2020 in the Russian Federation with the participation of Algeria for the third consecutive time.

  

      The National Military Team will participate in these Games, which will last until 05th September 2020, in the specialty of "airborne section", which will take place in the city of PISKOV in the northern of Russia, and will bring together (200) participants from ten (10) countries namely Algeria, Russia, China, Belarus, Congo, Cambodia, Mali, Namibia, Tajikistan and Equatorial Guinea. These athletes will compete in the disciplines of parachute jumping, obstacle course over a distance of (10) kilometres with a load of (80) kilograms, precision jumping, driving of military vehicles of the BTR-82 type as well as a shooting competition with different weapons. Moreover, the Cynotechnical team of the National Gendarmerie Command will participate in the "faithful friend" competition in Moscow.

  

  

      It should be noted that our National Military Selection participated in the two previous editions of the International Military Games, during which it received the prizes for "combat spirit", "team spirit" and "Cup of the united team "in recognition of its remarkable career during the said editions. Results which demonstrate the remarkable improvement in the level reached by our athletes during the various world military competitions, thanks to the permanent support of the High Command of the People's National Army.
