in an inspection and work visit to the Land Forces Command
Within the framework of inspection visits to the various Forces Commands and Military Regions during this sacred month of Ramadhan, Mr General CHANEGRIHA Saïd, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, made a working and inspection visit to the Land Forces Command, on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, where he was welcomed by Mr. Major-General, Ammar ATAMNIA, Land Forces Commander.
After the reception ceremony, Mr General, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, stood next to Mr. Major-General, Land Forces Commander, in moment of silence at the memorial statue of the martyr «DIDOOUCHE MOURAD», whom the Land Forces Command Headquarters is named after him, and recited Fatiha to his soul and all the brave martyrs before putting a bunch of flowers there.
After that, Mr. General held a meeting with the personnel of the Land Forces Command at the Conferences room of the Head-Quarters/LFC, Mr. General delivered an orientation speech, which was followed by the personnel of the six Military Regions units via videoconference system, through which he indicated that the multiplicity of threats and challenges facing our country require People's National Army to maintain operational readiness at its highest levels and to constantly monitor developments in the security situation in the region:
«The multiplicity of threats and challenges facing our country require People's National Army to work to maintain operational readiness at the highest levels, to constantly monitor developments in the security situation in the region, to prepare forces with the necessary rigour, and to intensify exercises at various levels, with a view to mastering the weapons systems we have and bringing our human resources into line with the significant developments in the arts of modern warfare».
The General made the audience aware of the fact that responsibility is a burden and not a distinction, hence the need for all personnel to carry out the missions assigned with the requisite rigour, going hand in hand with the sincere efforts to build the new Algeria:
«It is in this same vein, and under the leadership and guidance of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, that our military personnel, at all levels of the hierarchy, have a duty to prove, in the field, their ability to promote the People's National Army, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, to the level it deserves.
It is therefore up to everyone to grasp the sense of responsibility, which is a burden and not a distinction, hence the need to carry out the missions assigned with the requisite rigour, going hand in hand with sincere efforts to make the project of the new Algeria a reality».
At the end of his speech, the General gave a series of instructions and guidelines concerning, in short, the need to continue efforts to prepare units and personnel for combat, in accordance with agreed plans and programmes, and to create the best living and working conditions for personnel, particularly during this holy month, so as to enable them to carry out their missions to the full.
