HISTORIC OVERVIEW OF THE TOWN OF BISKRA

BISKRA, "QUEEN OF the ZIBANS", ground of civilisations and people which left indelible prints. Known under the name of "VESCERA" during the Roman era.

ESTABLISHMENT AND HISTORY

The Training Centre of Special Troops situates at the down town of Biskra. This splendid touristic city is characterised by a moderated climate in every season, except the hot season of the summer.

This Centre was created under the supervision of the Branch School of the Special Troops, its final autonomy was in January 1994.

TRAININGS

he Centre provides trainings for obtaining the following certificates:

Military Professional Certificate -1: for the ranked cadets: for a six (06) months period spread out of two (02) phases:

  • First phase: basic training No1, for a period of two (02) months.
  • Second phase: reserved on the one hand for the branches of speciality and on the other hand for the military training in the various armaments to reach the level of team head.

The Certificate of Application for contractual djounouds, for a period of five (05) months, divided into two (02) phases:

  • First phase: basic training No 1 for duration of two (02) months.
  • Second phase: basic training No 2 spread out into three (03) months. This phase supplements the first one; it is devoted for the aptitudes which allow the djoundi to achieve its tasks being entrusted to him according to its speciality.

PEDAGOGICAL BASE

  • Rooms of the courses equipped by teaching means;
  • Various sketches of training and portions of the prototypes for various armaments, grenades and ammunition of training.
  • The field of combatant;
  • The psychological field of combatant;
  • A room of body building;
  • Grounds for collective sports;
  • A model of an apparatus for the exercises of the jump.
  • A field of practical courses;
  • A field of shooting

LODGING

The Centre has a sufficient number of infrastructure for lodging the trainees, as well as infrastructure for the sports activities and of leisure such as the library and spare time room.
