The creation of the Centre goes back to the time of the landing of the allied Forces in North Africa, at the time of the Second World War, where the American Forces settled for the first time until the end of the war. The French Forces which replaced them until 1962 used it like centre of instruction for the noncommissioned officers in order to support the colonial Forces committed in all the national territory.

During the first years of independence, the Centre was considered among the first units of instruction providing several cycles in various fields, for obtaining the Professional Military Certificate No 2 and the Professional Capacity No 1, as well as the contractual active staff training.

The Centre of Instruction of the Infantry of Arzew situates at 25 km in the East of the county of Oran.
