the Instruction Centre of Engineers was created on July 31st, 1978. Established temporarily in Boudouaou (Boumerdes), the Centre had the role of instruction of the troops men intended to operate in the units of engineers of combat and to ensure the improvement of the special troops as well as the elements of the national service.
October 15th, 1984, it was transferred to the town of Zemouri (County of Boumerdes).
August 31st, 1995, it was transferred again from Zemouri towards the town of Bejaia, to be established on the old quartering of the Branch School of Engineers after the transfer of the latter to its new site.
MISSIONS
The Instruction Centre of Engineers provides the training for the contractual and contingent ranks men, according to the training programs in force.
It provides the following specialised trainings:

Ranks men (Djounouds)
ORGANISATION
To carry out its missions and under better conditions, the Instruction Centre of Engineers is equipped with the following structures:
Command of the Centre;
Direction of the training;
Command and Services Grouping.
TRAINING
Within the framework of the preparation of the troops for the execution of their missions, the Centre is equipped with a modern base of training and equipped with various teaching means, as well as all necessary human resources to ensure the training of the men of the troops and executives ready to achieve their tasks in all the situations.

PEDAGOGICAL BASE OF THE CENTRE
The Centre is equipped with a convenient and modern teaching base, continuously up dated and developed to satisfy the requirements of the new methods of training:
INFRASTRUCTURE OF LODGING AND CATERING
The Centre has a whole of infrastructure equipped to lodge the executives and the trainees.
Concerning catering, the Centre has a mixed mess of the officers and a complex of catering containing a modern kitchen and rooms of catering for each category of trainees.
CULTURAL AND LEISURE INFRASTRUCTURE
The Centre has a conference room, equipped with a unit with audio-visual means. We also find there a modern library rich in books.
The Centre is also equipped with hostels and leisure rooms.
