The Specialised Instruction Centre of Transportation (French acronym: 551 CIST) was created in 1996 by virtue of ministerial decision, following the transfer of the 11th Technical Centre of Instruction of the Drivers from the 3rd Military Region to the 1st Military Region.

The Centre situates at "draà el hadja", 06km North-western, of the commune of M'Sila.

• A room of conferences;
• A library;
• Various audio-visual teaching equipments;
• Manoeuvre grounds:
• A track of Rational Accelerated Instruction of Drivers (French acronym: FRAC);
• A field of combatant;
• A field of shooting.

• Trainings of the contractual ranked cadets from the civil life;
• Trainings of the contractual djounoud cadets from the civil life;
• Training of the corporals heads cadets drivers;
• Training of the corporals cadets specialised in transport and traffic issued from the units.

• Trainings of the contingent ranked cadets;
• Trainings of the djounouds cadets of the contingent.
