BRANCH SCHOOL OF COUNTER-AIRCRAFT DEFENCE

The Branch School of Counter-Aircraft Defence was created in 1991 by virtue of presidential decree. Situated in the town of Laghouat, made up primarily of buildings constructed in 1852 following an architectural type specific to the city.
The site which shelters the school was used since independence by the Command of the Popular National Army as:

Place of regrouping of several units of the infantry (1962-1970);
Place of creation and regrouping of the units of D.C.A (1970-1974);
Establishment of the School of the juniors of the revolution (1974-1982);
Establishment of the School of field artillery and artillery counter aircraft (1982- 1991), as well as 4th Regiment of Para Commandos.
Branch School of Counter Aircraft Defence since 1991 to date.

HISTORIC OVERVIEW

THE TOWN OF LAGHOUAT

The town of Laghouat regarded as the door of the desert, located at 400Km in the South of the capital of the country (longitude of 330.48.00, latitude 20.53.00) and 700 m of the sea level on the southern side of the high plateaus.
It is characterised by the breeding of the sheep primarily considering the desert aspect (steppe), as it contains also richness hidden such as the largest natural gas field of the country in Hassi R' mel.
In addition to its semi Saharan moderate climate, the town of Laghouat is characterised by some touristic sites such as EL Gheicha, Lalmaia, Madna.....etc.), it is made up of ten (10) "daira" (circumscription) and of twenty-four (24) communes, it is spread out over a surface of 26941 km2 and contains a population of 466.882 inhabitants

For a six (06) month duration, in two sessions per year.

THE NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF THE CAREER

Professional Military Patent first degree (French acronym: B.M.P-1): for a six (06) month duration, in two (02) sessions per year.
Professional Military Patent second degree (French acronym: B.M.P-2): for one school year duration.

BRANCH COURSES FOR CAREER OFFICERS

at the end of their basic training in the Military Academy of Combined Arms / Cherchelll: for one school year duration.

COURSES OF SPECIALISATION IN ONE OF THE SPECIALITIES OF THE D.C.A INTEND FOR:

OFFICERS OF THE CAREER

at the end of the branch courses of arm in the Branch School Counter- aircraft Defence, for a six (06) month duration.

CONTRACTUAL NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

at the end of their basic training at the School of the Training of the Non Commissioned Officers of Khenchela, for one school year duration.

CONTINGENT TRAINING

basic and specialised training in the arm for six (06) month duration, in two (02) sessions per year.

  • Diploma of the advanced course;
  • Diploma of the branch courses;
  • Diploma of the specialisation courses;
  • Military Professional Patent first and second degree (French acronym: B.M.P-1 and B.M.P-2);
  • Military Professional Certificate of second Degree (French acronym: C.M.P-2).
