Engagement of PNA helicopters in forest fire-fighting operations
Following the fires that broke out today, 14th August 2022, at the level of the forests of Mount Chenoua, wilaya of Tipaza in the 1st Military Region, the High Command of People's National Army mobilized helicopters belonging to Air Force to participate in the fire-fighting operations, particularly in inaccessible areas.
The mobilization of this type of helicopters constitutes a great support to the action of People's National Army detachments on the ground, to overcome the fires in the various forest areas and the affected villages. These detachments were also able to rescue and evacuate families trapped by the fires.
In addition to the helicopters deployed for this operation, all human and material resources are made available, such as machinery and bulldozers, the operation will continue until the fires are completely extinguished.
