Our country has regained a full and complete sovereignty over its territories, after a Great Liberation Revolution. In proportion to the enormous sacrifices made by our people to wrest independence, which we are celebrating this month for the 62nd anniversary, the sons of Algeria are keen to preserve the precious legacy of Chouhada and safeguard the priceless trust, as confirmed by the President of the Republic, the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, saying: “Reflecting on our national independence bolsters our resolve and serves as a reminder to us of how fortunate we are to belong to a country as grand and significant as Algeria. This great country has never been let down by its children, even in the worst circumstances. Whenever called upon, they have always answered its call.
We hold our country dear and remain prepared to face any crucial moment, so that we may be worthy of belonging to it”.
This anniversary is also an opportunity for us, as always, as emphasized by Mr. General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of People's National Army Staff, "not to forget the extent of the sacrifices made by those brave men who, with very few resources but a great deal of will and determination, defeated one of the most powerful and heinous colonial forces in modern history. May these sacrifices be a guiding light for us to achieve even greater accomplishments that will bring pride to our Army and the noble constitutional tasks entrusted to it."
