Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, on a working and inspection visit to the Territorial Air Defence Forces’ Command

As part of the visits to the various components of the People's National Army, Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army paid, this Monday, April 11th, 2022, a working and inspection visit to the Territorial Air Defence Forces’ Command.

This visit, held during the sacred month of Ramadhan, reflects the permanent interest granted by the People's National Army’s High Command in keeping direct contact with its personnel, anxiously listening to their concerns and urging them to carry out successfully their duties towards both their army and their country.

After the welcoming ceremony taking place at the entrance of the headquarters, the Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the PNA observed, with the company of Major General Abdelaziz HOUAM, Territorial Air Defence Forces’ Commander, a moment of silence in memory of Chahid DEGHINE BEN ALI known as "Si Lotfi" whose name is proudly bore by the headquarters. The Lieutenant General then laid a wreath of flowers in front of his commemorative stele and recited the Fatiha on his soul and on those of all our valiant Chouhada.

Subsequently, the Lieutenant General held a meeting with the executives and personnel of the Command, during which he delivered an orientation speech followed by videoconferencing through all its Units. In this regard, he expressed his full confidence in our country's ability to successfully adapt to the repercussions and effects of the profound geopolitical changes currently happening, under the leadership of the President of the Republic:

“What the world is recording today as profound geopolitical changes and complex security challenges is only the prelude to major changes that will undoubtedly have impacts and repercussions on the entire world, no exceptions.

Nevertheless, within the People's National Army, we undeniably believe in our capacities, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, we will successfully get through the ordeal of adaptation to these fallouts, particularly through the erection of a strong national economy, capable of ensuring food security, and consolidation of geostrategic sovereignty. The objective is to move forward in the process of building the new Algeria”.

The Lieutenant General, on this occasion, urged young people to have faith in their country and its abilities, especially in this particular context. As such, he emphasized the honourable competition among the elite executives of the People's National Army, aimed at enabling them to assume responsibilities in arms’ professions at all levels:

“In this particular context, we want the young generations of tomorrow to have faith in their country and its capacities, to always look forward to a better future, to work towards professional excellence, based on fair competition. We want the flames of love for Algeria and the sense of sacrifice to remain alive in our hearts and souls.

Within this framework, I will continue to encourage fair competition among the elite executives of the People's National Army, so that there is room only for those competent and qualified enough, and to allow taking responsibility in all fields of arms’ professions at all levels.

These responsibilities, as heavy as they are sensitive, can only be assumed by the most skilled and loyal to the Army and to the Fatherland, so that the People's National Army, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, can carry out its constitutional missions with loyalty and competence, in all situations and circumstances, and whatever the various challenges and issues faced along the way”.
