Within the framework of the Inter-ministerial Commission for the Search and the Rescue of Aircraft in Distress' activities, Major General Abdelaziz HAOUAM, Commander of the Territory Air Defence Forces, chaired today 29th December 2022, at the Territory Air Defence Forces Command’s headquarters, the twenty-second (22) ordinary session of the Inter-ministerial Commission for the Search and the Rescue of Aircraft in Distress, in presence of representatives of the concerned ministries.


      The aim of this meeting is the evaluation of the commission's activities and the coordination and the cooperation between the various concerned ministerial sectors with air search and rescue. It also aims to explore the possibilities open and define the material and human resources needed in this area, and to inquire about the degree of application of national and international consensuses and treaties relating to search and rescue operations.


      The work of this session was an opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge between the different participants, as well as to expose the measures set out in the adopted intervention scheme, and present the efficient methods used in search and rescue in order to achieve effective intervention and rapid management in the face of this type of risks.
