Operational report of PNA from 30th November to 06th December 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 30th November to 06th December 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested (05) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (64) drug traffickers and seized (18.5) kilograms of treated kif and (323613) psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of People's National Army intercepted (155) individuals and seized (21) vehicles, (155) generators, (124) jackhammers, (09) metal detectors, (15) quintals of raw gold and stones mixture, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (12) other individuals were arrested and (11) hunting rifles, (03) automatic pistols, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (25) tons, as well as (18) quintals of tobacco and (15720) units of various beverages were seized in separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the services of the National Gendarmerie, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (17946) litres in Tebessa, Souk Ahras, El-Tarf and Bechar.
In addition, Coast Guards thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and carried out the rescue of (71) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (142) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
