Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 07th December to 13th 2022, several operations which led to high quality results reflecting high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:

      Within the framework of fight against terrorism, the quality operation carried out by units of People’s National Army in Tipaza, permitted to eliminate (03) terrorists, to arrest one (01) other and to recover (04) fire guns, ammunition and other items. Similarly, one (01) other terrorist surrendered to military authorities in Adrar in his possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov and a quantity of ammunition. Both operations were the subject of official statements previously made public.


      In the same context, a combined detachment of PNA captured one (01) wanted terrorist in El-Oued, while (10) support elements for terrorist groups were apprehended in separate operations across the national territory. In addition, another PNA detachment intercepted, in Tamanrasset in coordination with National Security services, (05) individuals of different nationalities in their possession one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, one (01) hunting rifle and a quantity of ammunition, while (05) home-made bombs were discovered and destroyed during a raking operation in Jijel.


      Within the framework of fight against organized crime and in continuity with sustained efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of PNA arrested, in coordination with various security services during operations carried out through the Military Regions, (61) drug traffickers and foiled attempts to introduce huge quantities of drugs from the borders with Morocco, amounting to (11) quintals and (04) kilograms of treated kif, while they seized one (01) submachine gun type Kalashnikov, (550,707) psychotropic tablets and (457) grams of cocaine.



      In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, Djanet and Tindouf, detachments of People's National Army intercepted (206) individuals and seized (40) vehicles, (300) generators, (222) jackhammers, (12) metal detectors, as well as detonating tools and equipment used in illicit gold panning operations, while (14) other individuals were arrested and (13) shotguns, quantities of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation amounting to (31) tons, as well as (11) quintals of tobacco and (27) quintals of scrap copper were seized during separate operations across the national territory. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with National Gendarmerie services, smuggle attempts of large quantities of fuel amounting to (39,306) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, El-Oued, Tebessa, Souk Ahras and El-Tarf.


      In addition, Coast Guard thwarted, in our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and carried out rescue of (66) individuals aboard craft-built boats, while (107) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
