Within the framework of fight against terrorism and thanks to efficient use of information , detachments of People's National Army eliminated during an ambush carried out on saturday, 17th December 2022, near the southern border strip in the Operational Sector of In Guezzam in the Sixth Military Region, two (02) terrorists, including one (01) burned, and injured and arrested two (02) others. Heavy weapons and other effects were also recovered during this operation.
These include:

• Four (04) Toyota Station vehicles (charred);
• Three (03) heavy machine guns 12.7 mm caliber (charred);
• One (01) machine gun type FMPK (charred);
• Six (06) submachine guns type Kalashnikov(charred);
• One (01) submachine type Kalashnikov (Good condition);
• One (01) unidentified weapon (charred);
• One (01) rocket launcher RPG-7(charred);
• One (01) sniper rifle type SVD(charred);
• One (01) Thuraya Satellite Phone;
• Two (02) smartphones;
• Two (02) mobile phones.

      This quality operation reiterates, once again, the determination and commitment of People's National Army Forces to secure our borders and cleanse our country from the scourge of terrorism in order to establish peace and tranquility throughout the whole of the National territory.
