President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, in a visit to the Ministry of National Defence headquarters
The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, paid this Thursday, 08th December 2022, a visit to the Ministry of National Defence headquarters, where he was welcomed by the General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.
After listening to the national anthem and the presentation of honours by various formations of Forces of People's National Army, President of the Republic greeted his hosts.
During this visit, the President of the Republic chaired the periodic working meeting, which was attended by the General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, General Officers of the Ministry of National Defence and of People's National Army General Staff, and followed via videoconference, by the Commanders of Forces, by the Republican Guard, by the National Gendarmerie, by the Military Regions and by the most important units of People's National Army.
In this meeting, the President followed an exhaustive presentation on the security situation prevailing throughout the national territory, presented by the General, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, on the report of the activities carried out by People's National Army units for the year 2022, aiming to assure the requirements of stability, security and tranquillity for the benefit of the citizens, the missions of protection and securing our national borders, our airspace and our maritime access, in addition to the execution of the preparation and the development programs of the Battle Corps, and the optimization of the mechanisms of maintaining the operational readiness of combat units.
On this occasion, the President delivered a set of orientations and instructions to PNA personnel, urging them to continue the process of development and modernization of all its components, and this, with the objective to meet the challenges we face and to promote our Armed Forces to the assigned noble missions.
After the signing of the guest book, the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, was greeted, on his departure from the Ministry of National Defence headquarters, by General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.
