Rome hosts the works of the African Chiefs of Defence’s conference, organized by the American Military Command in Africa (AFRICOM)
As the representative of the Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, Major General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces’ Commander, takes part, from February 1st to February 4th, 2022, to the works of the conference of the African Chiefs of Defence 2022. The event brings together the African Chiefs of defence and the American military command in Africa (AFRICOM).
Hosted by the Italian capital Rome, this conference which is held under the slogan "Common investment for a common future", will see the participants review the current challenges facing the African continent. It is also an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and the consolidation of cooperation to thwart security threats, the eradication of terrorism, the fight against multifaceted cross-border crime, in addition to addressing other areas relating to climate change and its connexion to poverty and famine, but also the means to deal with the dangers linked to extremism and violence.
