Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, paid this Monday, February 28th, 2022, a working and inspection visit to the Central Establishment for the Renovation of Equipment of Transmissions in El-Harrach- 1st Military Region.
This visit is part of the monitoring, by the People's National Army’s High Command, of the performance of military support establishments, particularly those specializing in the maintenance and renovation of transmission equipment, as well as the assembly of various types of communication devices and accessories, making it possible to reduce foreign dependence in this sensitive area as well as their exchange costs.
After the welcoming ceremony, accompanied by the 1st Military Region’s Commander, the Head of the Communications, Information Systems and Electronic Warfare Department, and with the presence of the Commanders of Forces and the National Gendarmerie, Heads of Departments, Central Directors of the Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff of the PNA, the Lieutenant General delivered an orientation speech to the managers and staff of the Establishment - broadcasted via videoconference, to all the Military Regions- through which he highlighted the importance of the High Command in the promotion and modernization of our Armed Forces, particularly in the field of Transmissions, Information Systems and Electronic Warfare. Stressing on the fact that this particular field in placed at the centre of interest of the High Command; in perspective the achievement of the previously set objectives:

"On this occasion, I would like to emphasize on the fact that the optimization of the People's National Army's combat capabilities constitutes a permanent centre of interest for the High Command. It works tirelessly, in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, to modernize all the components of our Armed Forces and to promote their professionalism, particularly in this sensitive area, namely that of Communications, Information Systems and Electronic Warfare, as it ensures the mastery of modern technologies and aims to complete the construction of a solid industrial base, in terms of all types of communication by raising them to the expected levels.
Based on this permanent concern, the Transmissions Weapon has benefited from all the required interest, that corresponds to the pivotal role expected of it. Thus, significant human, material and infrastructural resources have been devoted to it, with the perspective to achieve the previously set objectives”.
The Lieutenant General then followed a presentation given by the Commanding Officer of the establishment, relating to its sensitive and vital missions, before proceeding to the inspection of various assembly lines, like such as radio equipment, fibber optic stations, intercom systems, microwave links and field switches, computer equipment, mechanical integration line, as well as the Research and development core. In situ, the Lieutenant General followed with interest the exhaustive explanations given by the executives and managers of the workshops on the assembly stages of the different types of transmission equipment.



It should be noted that this establishment supports the assembly of various new generation transmission devices and high precision technologies, and meets all the needs of the People's National Army in terms of this sensitive equipment, in order to modernize the Armed Forces Communications Unit and be in tune with the rapid changes brought about by the ever-increasing needs in terms of high speed technologies.
These production lines are managed by developed automated digital systems, and supervised by officers, engineers and technicians, who benefited from high-level specialized training.
The Lieutenant General subsequently took this opportunity to urge the Directors, executives and personnel of the establishment to redouble their efforts to promote the Armed Forces Transmissions to the required level and to ensure the permanent monitoring of performance and the effectiveness of the means of communication produced there, at the operational units, in order to make the necessary improvements, adapted to the challenges that require the optimal use of these materials within the Battle Corps.
