The Command of the National Gendarmerie organizes the first national conference on “Multifaceted economic and financial crimes and the means of combating them”
The Command of the National Gendarmerie organized, today 23rd February 2022, the first national seminar on the theme “Multifaceted economic and financial crimes and the means to combat them”, at the level of the Army’s National Circle in Beni Messous, in the presence of executives from the Ministry of National Defence, representatives of public organizations and establishments as well as professors and experts in the field.
This two days seminar, which the opening was supervised by the Brigadier General, Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, is imminent for the reason that economic and financial crime, in particular, cross-border and well developed one, constitutes one of the greatest challenges facing society and the State and whose consequences affect numerous aspects and extend to several sectors.
The objective of this seminar is to take stock of the economic crime reality in our country from various angles and to inquire about the means and methods capable of combating and countering it, while highlighting the efforts of active actors in this field. It is also about defining effective mechanisms to cease the economic and the financial crime threats.
The effective fight against this kind of crimes begins with the study of its aspects and by the federation of the efforts provided by the actors in this field. It is with this objective that the Command of the National Gendarmerie organized this seminar which brought together academicians and professionals, in order to achieve complementarities in the missions accomplishment according to the competence of each structure, and to put solid bases to build a national and global vision that takes into account the priority of Algeria's social and economic security.
