Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and following a clash with a terrorist group on the border strip of Hassi Tiririne - Operational Sector of In Guezzam - 6th Military Region, two soldiers fell in the field of honour, yesterday evening Thursday , January 27th, 2022. The Second Lieutenant Merbah Eddine SIDHOM and contract Corporal Nassim BENALIOUA.

      This operation resulted in the neutralization of two (02) terrorists and the recovery of one (01) heavy machine gun, calibre (12.7 mm), two (02) Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, one (01) all- terrain vehicle and a quantity of ammunition of different calibres.

      To this end, the Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army presents on his behalf and on behalf of all the personnel of the People's National Army his sincere condolences and deep compassion to the families and loved ones of the deceased, praying to Allah the Almighty to grant them His Holy Mercy and welcome them to His Vast Paradise, and to grant their families and loved ones courage and strength in this difficult ordeal.

      The Lieutenant General reaffirms the resolved determination of the People's National Army to carry on with the operations of fight against those terrorist groups and the securing of our borders from the scourge of terrorism and all forms of organized crime through the entire national territory and in all circumstances.
