General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, visiting the Military Academy of Cherchell “the Late President Houari Boumediene”
General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, carried out a visit, today Monday, 11th July 2022 to the Military Academy of Cherchell “the Late President Houari Boumediene”, on the eve of the annual graduation ceremony for the promotions of this prestigious training citadel that the Academy will house tomorrow Tuesday.
At the entrance to the Academy, and after the welcoming ceremony, the General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army observed a minute’s silence in tribute to “the late President Houari Boumediene”, whose name is carried by the Military Academy of Cherchell, then, placed a wreath of flowers on the commemorative stele and recited the Fatiha on his pure soul. Subsequently, the General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, in the presence of the Commander of the Land Forces, the Commander of the 1st Military Region and the Commander of the Military Academy of Cherchell, chaired an orientation meeting with the executives, professors and students of the Academy during which he delivered a speech in which he recalled that the weight of the responsibility incumbent on People's National Army, in particular in the shadow of the current international and regional context, requires greater vigilance, discernment and awareness with regard to the major challenges of the day:
“The aspects for fully assuming responsibility are not only dependent on scientific knowledge, skills and material motivations, but rather the essential and the most important aspect lies in the feeling of the military staff, wherever they are, to spare no effort in order to serve his unit, his army and his country, with all that he has in terms of intellectual, physical and moral capacities, and that it is his duty to honour his commitments.
Thus, the weight of the responsibility assigned to People's National Army and to the various security services, particularly in the shadow of the current international and regional context, requires greater vigilance, discernment and awareness with regard to the major challenges of time.
This leads to a strong adherence to the new roadmap, drawn up by the High Command of People's National Army, in the light of the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defence National, whose most important objectives are the strengthening of national unity and the unification of the internal front, as the only guarantee capable of putting our country on the path of the expected development and prosperity.”
It is also necessary to reserve awareness within our training establishments a great part in their teaching programs, in particular by instilling noble values in students and trainees:
“It is also necessary to reserve awareness within our training establishments as a large part of their teaching programs, in particular by instilling noble values in students and trainees, in addition to the feeling of loyalty towards the message of the Chouhada and the pride in belonging to a national army that is principled and popular at heart, its slogan is the love of a united Algeria, land and people, its objective is to keep its flag flying high in the sky, on every part of its territory, in sovereignty and independence and in security and stability.”
At the end, the floor was given to the students, who reiterated their pride in belonging to People's National Army and expressed their full disposition, in all circumstances, to make all sacrifices in the name of homeland dignity, its security, stability and sovereignty.
