President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence presides over a reception ceremony at the Army’s National Circle
On the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Independence Day and the Recovery of National Sovereignty, the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, chaired the Tuesday evening, 05th July 2022, at the Army’s National Circle in Beni Messous-Algiers, a reception ceremony in honour of senior executives of People's National Army in service and retired, in the presence of senior State officials.
The President of the Republic was welcomed, at the entrance of the Army’s National Circle, by the General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.
The ceremony, as a part of the great traditions of People's National Army aiming to highlight the key dates of our glorious history and in tribute to our valiant martyrs, was attended by the President of the Nation’s Council, the President of People's National Assembly, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Prime Minister and members of the Government, as well as the General Benali BENALI, Commander of the Republican Guard, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defence, the Commanders of Forces, the Commander of the National Gendarmerie, the Commanders of Military Regions, the Chiefs of Departments, the Directors and the Chiefs of Central Services of the Ministry of National Defence and of the General Staff of the People’s National Army, alongside senior state officials, national figures and the Mujahideen.
On this occasion, the audience listened to the National Anthem performed by a musical troupe of the Republican Guard and watched a documentary film entitled: “Algerians, artisan of Victory”, produced by the Directorate of Information and Communication/GS-PNA, before visiting a photographic exhibition retracing the different stages of our Glorious Revolution, from its outbreak to independence.
The ceremony ended with an exceptional fireworks demonstration marking the event.
