Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army on a working and inspection visit to the 6th Military Region
Within the dynamics of his inspection visits to the various Military Regions, as part of the monitoring of the execution of the 2021/2022 combat preparation program, the Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, began, this Monday, June 13th, 2022, a working and inspection visit to the 6th Military Region of Tamanrasset.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the Lieutenant General, accompanied by General-Major Mohamed AJROUD, 6th M.R’s Commander, observed at its headquarters, a moment of meditation in memory of the late Moudjahid "HIBAOUI Elouafi", knowing that the headquarters’ bears his name. For the occasion, he laid a wreath of flowers in front of his commemorative stele and recited El-Fatiha in his memory and that of the brave Chouhada.
Then, during his meeting with the executives and personnel of the Region, the Lieutenant General delivered an orientation speech, broadcasted by videoconferencing to all the units of the Region, under the terms of which he underlined that belief in the fatherland requires actions on the ground and not just words without action, and that the effective performance of man reflects their faith in their values and principles and in the supreme interest of their fatherland:
“Within the People's National Army, we are convinced that whoever believes in his homeland, inevitably believes in the values, advocating the safeguarding and protection of this homeland. Moreover, having faith in the homeland requires actions, on the ground, not just words. Indeed, it is the performance of work that proves the faith of man in their values and principles and in the supreme interest of their beloved country.
As such, we will ensure, within the People's National Army that this spiritual attachment to the homeland is real and translates into tangible actions on the ground. To do this, it is important to mobilize goodwill, to seed a love of sincere and dedicated work in the ranks of the People's National Army’s staff, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, and to ensure the rational distribution of roles and efforts to achieve the underlined objectives, in line with the supreme interests of the country”.
The Lieutenant General also emphasized on the attributes of power of the People's National Army, that constitute an inescapable requirement and imperative so that Algeria remains strong, united, safeguarded and triumphant over its enemies:
"Having the attributes of power must be a requirement for the People's National Army, so that Algeria remains, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, strong, united, safeguarded and triumphant over its enemies, thanks to its attachment and its inalienable faith in its national foundations and immutable principles.
In this sense, we insist on the total execution, by the units of the battle corps, of the programs of preparation for combat, taking care, through this judicious approach, to confer on their content not only objectivity and rationality required, but also the visionary aspect. Likewise, we ensure that the sacralisation of work, perseverance and ambition are the most appropriate means for the concretization of these programs”.
By the end of the meeting, the floor was given to the personnel of the Region who displayed a perfect readiness to take up all the challenges and face all the threats in order to defend the security and stability of the country, and preserve the national sovereignty.
