Operational report of PNA from 1st to 07th June 2022
Within the dynamics of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 1st to 07th June 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect the professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (02) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within continuity with the intense efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services at the level of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (17) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs across the borders with Morocco, amounting to (05) quintals and (72) kilograms of treated kif, while (19) other drug traffickers were arrested in possession (138,717) of psychotropic tablets during various operations carried out across the other Military Regions.
Moreover, detachments of PNA intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (101) individuals and seized (24) vehicles, (104) generators, (115) jackhammers and detonating tools and equipment used in illegal gold panning operations, while (07) other individuals were apprehended and (05) hunting rifles, (3,000) cartridges, (11,521) units of various beverages, (51.7) tons of copper fragment and (30) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling were seized in Ouargla, El-Oued, In Guezzam, Batna, Khenchla, Chlef, Bouira and M'Sila. Similarly, Border Guards thwarted with the services of the National Gendarmerie, smuggle attempts of huge quantities of fuel amounting to (98,348) litres in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tebessa, El-Tarf and Souk Ahras.
In another context, Coast Guards thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and carried out the rescue of (145) individuals on board homemade boats, while (31) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
