Operational report of the PNA from June 08th to June 14th, 2022
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of the People's National Army carried out, from June 08th to June 14th, 2022, several operations that led to quality results reflecting the high professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of the People's National Army arrested (04) support elements for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuity with the intense efforts aimed at countering the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (06) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs across the borders with Morocco, amounting to (07) quintals and (19) kilograms of treated kif, while (19) other drug traffickers were arrested in their possession (05) kilograms of the same substance and (48 352) psychotropic tablets during various operations carried out through the other Military Regions.
In addition, detachments of the People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (156) individuals and seized (17) vehicles, (38) generators, (21) jackhammers, ( 30) tons of mixture of raw gold and stones, detonation tools and equipments used in illicit gold panning operations, while (21) other individuals were apprehended and (19) shotguns, (03) automatic pistols, (31 065) packets of tobacco, (28) tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling, were seized in Ouargla, El-Oued, M'Sila, Biskra and Ghardaïa. Similarly, the Border Guards thwarted, in coordination with the services of the National Gendarmerie, attempts to smuggle huge quantities of fuel amounting to (75 409) liters in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tébessa, El-Tarf and Souk Ahras.
In another context, the Coast Guards thwarted, attempts at illegal emigration and proceeded to the rescue of (84) individuals aboard artisanal boats, while (152) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
