Operational report of PNA from 15th to 21st June 2022
Within the dynamics of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and against multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, during the period from 15th to 21st June 2022, several operations which led to high quality results which reflect the professionalism, vigilance and permanent availability of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army arrested (11) elements of support for terrorist groups in separate operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and within continuity with the intense efforts aiming to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army arrested, in coordination with the various security services at the level of territories of the 2nd and 3rd Military Regions, (09) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce large quantities of drugs across the borders with Morocco, amounting to (13) quintals and (68) kilograms of treated kif, while (19) other drug traffickers were arrested in possession of (09) kilograms of the same substance and (49831) psychotropic tablets during various operations carried out through the other Military Regions.
In addition, detachments of People's National Army intercepted, in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam and Djanet, (83) individuals and seized (21) vehicles, (104) generators, (47) jackhammers, (05) metal detectors, as well as detonation tools and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations, while (09) other individuals were apprehended and (10) hunting rifles, (13000) tobacco packets, (31) tones of foodstuffs intended for smuggling were seized in Ouargla, El-Oued, In Guezzam, Batna and Khenchla. Similarly, the Border Guards, in coordination with the National Gendarmerie, thwarted attempts to smuggle huge quantities of fuel amounting to (32740) litres in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, El-Oued, Tébessa, El-Tarf and Souq Ahras.
In another context, the Coast Guards thwarted, at the level of our national coasts, illegal emigration attempts and proceeded to the rescue of (48) individuals on board homemade boats, while (280) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested throughout the national territory.
