Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, on a working and inspection visit to the 5th Military Region
Lieutenant General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army begins, from this Wednesday, 18th May 2022, a working and inspection visit, which is spread over two days, in the 5th Military Region, in Constantine. On this occasion, he will hold an orientation meeting with the personnel of this region and will supervise the execution of a night tactical exercise, with live ammunition, at the level of the 1st Armoured Division.
After the welcoming ceremony, chaired by Major General Noureddine HAMBLI, Commander of the 5th Military Region, with the Major General Hassnat BELKACEM, interim Chief of the Employment and Preparation Department of PNA General Staff, the Lieutenant General held a meeting with the executives and the personnel, followed via videoconference, by all the units of the Region, through which he underlined that the united Algerian people are lucid enough to understand, from all their angles, the conspiracies that are hatched against him, both in the public and private spheres, and this is how he was able to thwart, with wisdom and foresight, all the makeovers aiming to plunging the country into chaos, according to obscure agendas:
“Algeria, land of resistance and supreme sacrifice, knows very well the value of national sovereignty, independence, security and stability, because it has suffered, in the past, tyranny despicable colonialism, and suffered from the barbaric terrorism, which has now become a global phenomenon, which presents a serious threat to the security and stability of peoples, and even to their national independence and sovereignty.
Anxious to preserve this sovereignty and this independence, of which we are preparing to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their recovery, the Algerian people united, faithful to themselves, and imbued with their national values, are lucid enough to understand the conspiracies that are brewing against him, both in the public and private spheres. This is how he was able to thwart, with wisdom and foresight, all the manoeuvres aiming to plunging the country into chaos, risking its territorial and popular unity and undermining the foundations of the nation-state in the service of obscure agendas and objectives. This is undeniable proof of the cohesion of our people, always awake to the plans of these enemies”.
Lieutenant General underlined that the exploits recorded across all the Military Regions, in terms of the fight against terrorism, the defeat of all attempts to provide the latter with arms and financial means, all testify the dedicated efforts, constantly made by PNA:
“There is no doubt that the combination of our efforts, on a national level, particularly in the field of the eradication of despicable terrorism from our blessed land, with the continuous hardening of measures to protect our vast national borders, will contribute to the elimination of this transnational and cross-border phenomenon and, beyond that, to the consolidation of the general effort deployed at regional and international level.
Indeed, the exploits recorded at the level of all the Military Regions, in the field of the fight against terrorism, the defeat of attempts to provide it with arms, supplies and financial means, as well as the dismantling of its support networks, particularly among drug traffickers and the chiefdoms of organized crime, all testify to the sincere and dedicated efforts, constantly made by People's National Army, in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence”.
Thereafter, the Lieutenant General followed, with interest, the interventions and the proposals of the executives of the Region, before proceeding to the inspection of some units of the Division, where he gave a series of guidelines and recommendations, focusing essentially on the imperative to pursue, with the required rigor, combat readiness efforts, in the spirit and the letter of the Force Readiness Directive 2021-2022, aiming to allow PNA battle corps to reach the level of excellence, in all areas.
