Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of PNA, chairs the opening ceremony of the annual meeting works of the Materiel Arm executives, at the level of the Higher School of Material, in El-Harrach
The Lieutenant General Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, chaired, this Wednesday, 09th March 2022, at the Higher School of Materiel in the 1st Military Region, the opening ceremony of the annual meeting work of the Materiel Arm executives
At the beginning and after the welcoming ceremony, the Lieutenant General followed, with Major General Ali Sidane, Commander of the 1st Military Region, two presentations presented respectively by the Major General Smaïl Sediki , the Central Director of Materiel and by the Commander of the School, on the results of the activities carried out under the first phase of the preparation program of the Forces for the year 2021-2022, as well as the prospects for the development of the Materiel Arm in different areas.
Afterwards, the Lieutenant General delivered an orientation speech, followed via videoconference by the several units of the six Military Regions, during which he expressed his satisfaction at chairing the annual meeting of the executives of the Materiel Arm, aiming to assess the progress of the annual schedule execution:
"First of all, I would like to express my satisfaction with this meeting, dedicated to the annual meeting of the executives of the Materiel Arm, organized by the Central Directorate of Materiel, with the purpose of evaluating the state of the progress of the annual schedule execution, to take stock of the disposition taken in this direction, to make any corrections to the implemented strategy and to consider possible solutions, capable of enabling us to meet the challenges and to remedy the shortcomings noted”.
The Lieutenant General also underlined that the major interest granted by the High Command of PNA to the Central Directorate of Material which is in charge of sensitive missions, within the framework of the rise in power the availability of our Armed Forces, and the maintenance of their readiness to face any emergency situation:
"The High Command attaches great importance to the Central Directorate of Material, with regard to the nature and specificities of the missions assigned to it, relating essentially to the support of units and trainings of People's National Army, to participation in the elaboration of development plans for its components, as well as meeting the needs of equipment and material. These are fundamental levels that will undoubtedly strengthen the chain of command and contribute to bringing together the necessary elements for the development of the decision of the High Command.
Thus, this interest granted to the Materiel Arm, is in line with the orientations of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, aiming to achieve the power factors, the preservation means of the independence and national sovereignty of our country, and to bring together all the conditions necessary for the rise in power of our Armed Forces and the maintenance of their state of readiness to face any emergency situation".
At the end, the Lieutenant General inaugurated some annexes of the School's infrastructures, before proceeding, with the Commander of the 1st Military Region and the Central Director of Materiel, to the planting of a tree on this same occasion.
To close the visit, the Lieutenant General signed the School's golden Book.
